What’s this all about?
One of the leading scientists of this generation, agnostic biologist Stephen J Gould, said that science and theology “interdigitate” (like interlocking fingers). I have found this to be profoundly true.
This blog takes a look at Christian ideas of God, the universe, heaven and suchlike topics against a background of science. One of the basic tenets of Christianity is that God is both spiritual and physical. If you’re not that hot on formal religion, and even if you are religious, but are interested in both the spiritual and physical nature of things, you will find some food for thought here.

William; welcome to the blogosphere.
I look forward to commenting from the standpoint of how I describe myself in my headier moments as a Transcultural Psychiatrist which means seeing through the spectacles of evolutionary psychiatry, evolutionary psychology; cultural anthropology; complexity; behavioural genetics; memes; which brings me on to Richard Dawkins and the God Delusion; Daniel Dennet and Darwins Dangerous Idea and, of course Stephen J Gould; I read his The Hedgehog and the Fox and the Magister’s Pox while at Glasshampton last year but couldn’t see any of them. But I’ll have to read what you have to say first; and I may soon be able to send you our website - the Sorcery Watch Project. and best wishes for the good of your divine universe blog, Andrew

Hi there Br William. I got your comment. I’ve been reading along here when I can. I first came across your blog after stumbling onto Matt Smith’s blog “Bogosity”.
I look forward to reading more of your thoughts on here.
